Hi Guys
I have just finished a site for client which is hosted at Hostgator. The domain is registered with Namesco. I did not want to disturb the clients email set up so just pointed the A record to hostgator.
In the Wordpress general settings i have not used the www so when you type in
http://totalfacilitiesmanagement.co.uk/ you end up on the new site.
HOWEVER
when you type in http://www.totalfacilitiesmanagement.co.uk/ you end up on the old site.
Where do I need to start trouble shooting this?
Or is it because the dns (A record) change is still propagating?
Thanks
Steve
Francisco Javier Carazo Gil answers:
Steve,
I am seeing it correctly, flush your caché and the DNS of your system and try again.
Navjot Singh answers:
Seeing the same site on both. Wait a bit more. Different ISPs take different time to propagate the changes.
Luis Abarca answers:
Yeah, both URL's looks the same.
www is an alias of main domain, you can look in your DNS www as a cname pointing to the main domain.com
Eric P. answers:
It looks like the A records are still propogating.
I see
<blockquote>$ dig www.totalfacilitiesmanagement.co.uk totalfacilitiesmanagement.co.uk

And 74.52.119.x looks suspicously like a HostGator IP address
Abdelhadi Touil answers:
The same here, so you just need to wait untill the DNS be updated..
Good luck!
Hariprasad Vijayan answers:
Hello,
Both are same here.. Flush your system DNS. IF it didn't work, try with some other ISP.
