WP customization WordPress

Hi there.

How would you recommend I go about achieving the following changes to my WP website? Which option is easiest to achieve?

This is my webpage:

www.econedit.com

Option 1:

I need the following done: in the pricing options where it says ´upload manuscript´ I need a function that allows clients to upload a document and that document arrive automatically to my email inbox. Once the file as been sent then they need to pay for the service so I need a payment plugin or payment functionality set up aswell. On the payment functionality the client should be given an option of several prices depending on the word count of their document.

Option 2:

Here we would simply remove the upload manuscript button but give them somewhere else on the page the opportunity to send their document to us and pay for the service as per the word count of their document.

Gravity Forms would be easiest with the upload and payment part. It will actually allow you to easily require the payment to process in order for you to receive the email, so you won't get the doc unless they upload it.

Depending on how aggressive you want to be with the word count requirement, you can also use GF to restrict file type (e.g. .doc, .pdf, .pages, etc.) and then you write a function that recognizes and converts each to a simple word string and then count it.

Thanks for your response. Would you be able to implement something like this for me? How much would you charge?

I specialize in customizing WooCommerce. If you would like a woocommerce solution, I can develop it for you. It would require some customization of the plugin, but I can do that for around $75 if you're interested.

Sorry for the late reply, I just got the email. I am proposing to do exactly what you want done as per your post. I see it doesn't do anything when you click the upload manuscript button now, so I would add the code needed to make it upload the file and send it to you en an email attachment. Then it would collect payment as per your option 1. Now that I look at it in detail though, I would probably not use woocommerce for this and I think it might be best to create your own plugin or custom wordpress code for this functionality which I'm afraid would cost more like $200 to $300 to have me do it, but let me know if you want to explore that option.
