Place my header and stop my sliders! WordPress

I am using the science and innovation theme (http://themeforest.net/item/innovationscience-wordpress-edition-theme/93906) for a client site. I am having trouble getting the header to show up in both IE and firefox and need to find a way to stop the scroll over sliders - i am not familiar with that type of code but both should be super fast fixes. Would love to get these done by tonight for client.
