Opencart 403 and 500 errors urgent help WordPress

I am having real difficulties. my opencart store was working although running quite slowly, we just went live with the site (it's on a subdomain) and it has completely gone down the last 24 hours. I was pretty adamant that the problem is related to the hosting but they are saying the reverse.
shop.abbeystationery.com is the domain, the only thing i can think of is that the website is creating an error and maybe with the increased traffic the error is being produced faster causing the site to crash. I cant access the cms or site at all meaning all work has to be done through FTP. The only thing I can check are the error logs and need somone with experience with opencart.
