Need help with an error; possibly a malicious script in a plugin. WordPress

  • SOLVED

Hi, the site I'm having problems with is customlivingsolutions. com.

The problem is that the website is down and I'm only getting an error. The error reads:

Started with: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/33/d230080449/htdocs/wp-admin/index.php on line 11

This error seems to change as I edit or rename files. When I rename a file, it moves on to the next and delivers code such as Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /homepages/33/d230080449/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/pretty-link/pretty-link.php on line 11

I need to remove any malicious code that may have infected my server and update my account to the latest version of Wordpress (it was something like 3.1).

Can anybody help?

Kailey Lampert answers:

Have you tried deactivating all the plugins and turning them back on one-by-one to see if one of those is the culprit?

Josh Sauberman comments:

I can't login to the admin side either, but through the ftp I did rename the plugin file and the error just continued on to other files.

Kailey Lampert comments:

*facepalm* sometimes I don't think things through when I say them...

When you changed the plugin file via FTP, do you mean you renamed just the plugin mentioned in the error? Have you tried renaming the plugins folder?

Josh Sauberman comments:

Hi Kailey,

Thank you for your help. I may still need it, but I'm actually speaking with Richard. He replied first, but let's see if he can solve it....
