Need help speeding up site WordPress

  • REFUNDED

I designed a site for a client that is a custom theme WP site. Everything is great, except it is soooooo slow. I need to make it ALOT fast QUICKLY. My client is hounding me and I have no time in the next few days. I am doing the work for him for free, but would happily pay someone $50.

I have installed W3 cache and set up a CDN network and uploaded all the files to that, however it is still slow. I know that I need to minify the javascript by adding each script to the W3 admin. Same goes for the CSS.. which could be cleaned up. It is a little all over the show since it was not only my first WP site, but a 100% custom theme.

Anyhow, I went back to school recently and am in the middle of a crazy week of finals and can't take any more time to fix this. I need a master, a guru, who knows exactly what they are doing to get this site optimized for me.

It is currently hosted on GoDaddy, but I have also set up and transferred the site to Bluehost to see if that would help. It didn't seem to.

I am now getting so tired that I am causing problems instead of fixing them. If anyone can jump in here and do this for me I will happily pay them $50. If you think it would take more time than $50 is worth, please quote me. It could end up leading to more work for you too, as I subcontract a lot of work out.

THE ONE KEY FACTOR IS THAT IT BE DONE BY TOMORROW!!! THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.

Thanks all. Hope this works out.

Can you post the url to see how slow it really is and how hard it would be to improve it?

Hi, you need to provide the site url so someone can see it.
The speed problem can have different causes.

If i were chosen this is what i would have done:

1. Optimized the images [reduces a lot of loading time]
2. Optimized the java and mostly use codes from that which are hosted on google [for better loading times]
3. Optimize the css + php file for better speed.
4. Plugins usually take a lot of time to load their files [e.g. css] which need to be optimized.

I do not have the time to complete it tomorrow and anytime in the next 10 days.
I hope the person you select does some of the above to speedup

I've found that unless you are using a really high quality CDN, then it in fact slows your site down greatly.

If not using a premium CDN, but a free one, disable CDN, and activate css/html minify from the w3 cache settings.
