Make sidebar appear on bbpress forum in custom wordpress theme WordPress

We have a very nice little site running and wanted to add a forum....
We brought a custom theme from TrueThemes, which we are happy with. However when we installed the bbpress plugin we found that the sidebars are not visible in any of the forums. (setup the plugin today and already having a few issues)
The sidebar is visible on the forum root page, however once you enter a forum the side bars (with the login, top post etc) disappears.
I have contacted the theme developer, who has told me it would require a bit of quick custom coding - this is beyond me to be honest.
