Our previous crappy theme at http://www.gravelsinsbonsell.com has a slider area with a sidebar at the side. It’s about the only good thing about the theme.
Anyway we’d like to have the same sort of treatment for our new Karma site: http://www.gravelsinsbonsell.com/WordPressKarma/
I guess it would work much like the template on this demo page, but with a slider instead.

I think you can use following template
http://themes.truethemes.net/Karma/pages/homepage-video
with the shortcode for slider in this page
gravelsinsbonsell comments:
That sounds perfect! But how do i do that?
MDan answers:
Hello,
I think I understand what you want to achieve.
So, if you want to use a separate plugin you should try this one. It is completely responsive hence it should integrate flawlessly into Karma theme.
Check the slider features here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/slideshow-jquery-image-gallery/
If you prefer using Karma shortcodes you should follow the theme docs provided by developers.
<strong>E.g adding a shortcode. </strong>
<blockquote>To insert a Shortcode simply edit the page or post you wish to modify(in this case it will be the homepage), and click on the Shortcode Manager button located directly in the Wordpress WYSIWYG editor. Here you should choose the corresponding shortcode. </blockquote>
You can watch the video tutorials provided on Vimeo. In this case you should follow the ones regarding the homepage jquery or sliders.
