I use Wordpress with the Thesis theme. My site is www.circa43.com
I have an untitled page that shows a jpg image and that page is always shown as the first thing visitors see on my site.
Right underneath it I have my posts. What I am trying to do is to display a feature image for each post, and although I set a feature image for a post, the image is not showing, and I don't know why.
Can someone help me with this?
Jatin Soni answers:
Can you please provide some visual references. Line work or screen shots.. Its not clear what you are asking.
Manoj Raj answers:
Paste any of the following where you want the featured image...
<?php the_post_thumbnail('large');?>
<?php the_post_thumbnail('medium');?>
<?php the_post_thumbnail('thumbnail');?>
<?php the_post_thumbnail( array (width,height) );?>
If your theme don't have the support add the following
add_theme_support( 'post-thumbnails' );
to your functions.php

Olá Andre,
I assume you want an image for each post in the listing, is that correct?
So you will need to edit your home page, like in this tutorial: [[LINK href="http://www.collaboration133.com/show-blog-posts-on-static-homepage-with-wordpress-thesis-theme/752/"]]http://www.collaboration133.com/show-blog-posts-on-static-homepage-with-wordpress-thesis-theme/752/[[/LINK]]
Then change this
echo '<div class="post type-post hentry post_box top">';
echo '<div class="headline_area"><h2 class="entry-title"><a href="' . get_permalink() . '">' . get_the_title() . '</a></h2>';
echo '<p class="headline_meta"><abbr title="" class="published">' . get_the_date() . '</abbr></p></div>';
into this
echo '<div class="post type-post hentry post_box top">';
echo '<div class="headline_area">
the_post_thumbnail('medium');
<h2 class="entry-title"><a href="' . get_permalink() . '">' . get_the_title() . '</a></h2>';
echo '<p class="headline_meta"><abbr title="" class="published">' . get_the_date() . '</abbr></p></div>';
Hopefully that is what you are looking for.
Change the image size using the code above from Manoj Raj answer.
Abraços,
Gabriel
P.S. If you want to split the prize, and I think you should, would be nice if you first click at [[LINK href="http://wpquestions.com/question/edit?id=4246"]]<em>Add more money to prize?</em>[[/LINK]] and later split it. ;-)
