How do I make the layout of homepage the same for pages? WordPress
- SOLVED
I have a template and love the homepage. Want to make the Single Page the same look as the homepage index.php ... except i want to be able to set the category for the posts it pulls. For example a fashion page should only pull category posts from "Fashion".
When I copy the index.php code and paste the code into page.php the layout does not look right and I don't know how to set the specific category for the page. Any help will help!

ok cool the category id makes sense. to ansewr the second part any idea why the layout is not the same when i copy the exact same code from index.php to page.php? do i need to make special changes to the stylesheet?

In your source file pages it is easier that you duplicate "page.php" to "page-fashion.php"
then inside "page-fashion.php" you open it using your editor insert the code that says:
<?php
/*
Template Name: Fashion Page
*/
get_header(); ?>
Lastly go to your Dashboard click on the following
Pages>Fashion>
in the left panel find the one that says TEMPLATE and
replace it with "Fashion Page"
