Debugging Google Analytics Visits WordPress

 • SOLVED

I'm trying to use Google Analytics visits to show how many total visits to my blog. When I put my site name: www.sowhatireallymeant.com as the Profile ID, I get the following Debugging Report attached as an image. I have no idea what to do with that.

I believe I'm supposed to use the site address. When I used my gmail address, I got the message that I had the wrong user id or password.

Thank you!

Debug Report: ( In-case you see this you have some problem kindly used this data to report me or fix things yourself remember im always here to help :) )

Luis Cordova answers:

the profile Id is found on your google analytics account, it is a number with some letters

you can find it in the dashboard, check it carefully

Hi Luis, Thank you. I had tried that number too. UA-xxxxxxxx-1. That doesn't work either. Any other ideas?

Luis Cordova comments:

there is a profile id let me show you hold it

Luis Cordova comments:

re: above, the profile ID is obtained from the Google Analytics Site Dashboard page
(the number after ?id=). Hope this helps.

Luis Cordova comments:

You are using your GA account number as your id. Instead it should be the Profile ID related
to the site (as in 7 digits, something like 2116412).

Hi. So I looked all over, and finally found an 8 digit number on the Analytics Account setting page under "Account ID" 216XXXXX. It happens to be the same number in the UA-xxxxxxxx-1. Unfortunately this 8 digit number gave me the same debugging message. If you're sure it's a seven-digit number, maybe you could help me locate it. Thank you!

Luis Cordova comments:

please send me the login info via private message

Luis Cordova comments:

whatever is the number after ?id=

on the url address at GA dashboard

alison7 comments:

It does say that the profile id should be seven numbers, but I can't find where the profile settings page is.

Luis Cordova comments:

see attached see on the url address bar id= that is the number for me, do the same
