CORE: Images re-size & Imageflow on pages/gallery WordPress

Is there a way to re-size the images in pages/gallery in CORE theme? And can we add the imageflow function in pages/gallery?

You can resize your images when you upload it: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/resize-at-upload/.

If you want have imageflow you can not use the default gallery of theme and use this one insted of it: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/nextgen-imageflow/screenshots/

I have tried on the NextGen Gallery. However, there was an error showing HTML error after the uploading completed.
