Beautify ugly multisite attachment URL's WordPress

One aspect of a Wordpress Multisite I don't like is the permalink for attachments.

I was wondering if there was a plugin available or an easy method to rewrite the attachments permalink.

For example, changing:
http://stawellgymnastics.<strong>grampians.wpengine.com</strong>/wp-content/uploads/<strong>sites/28/</strong>stawell-gymnastics-club-welcome-pack.pdf

to

http://stawellgymnastics.com.au/wp-content/uploads/stawell-gymnastics-club-welcome-pack.pdf

Replacing the subdomain with the domain used in the Domain Mapping plugin.
And removing the "/sites/28/"
