Add sub-menu to wp_nav_menu vertical list WordPress

I have a vertical menu using wp_nav_menu.

I need to add a sub-menu that appears on hover, beside the vertical menu. Then if you click the parent page, the sub-menu should remain visible for any child page of that parent.

Looking for someone to do this for me if I provide FTP access.

I have a PDF illustrating what it should look like.

basic jquery and css work.
