Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a website where I can upload videos and share them to my viewers. Simple, but I also want categories near the header part where they can click on that and see different videos in the category clicked on. Lastly, I would like a search bar somewhere on the website so people can search up a title of a video and then find that video and play it.
If anyone can suggest an EFFICIENT theme/template that I can use to fulfill these features mentioned above, it would really be appreciated.

I'm not a fan of "premium themes" but there are very few Video oriented "Open Source" themes at WordPress.org. Even the few that are available there have low numbers of ratings and downloads.
You might want to check these out:
[[LINK href="http://wordpress.org/themes/sundance"]]Sundance theme[[/LINK]]. This one has some good ratings and a fairly large installed base and looks to be the most developed of the video themes. Also, this theme is available to bloggers on WordPress.com, which is generally a sign of excellent coding practices and thorough testing.
[[LINK href="http://wordpress.org/themes/focus"]]Focus theme[[/LINK]]
[[LINK href="http://wordpress.org/themes/webvideo"]]WebVideo theme[[/LINK]]
There are also some plugins that add video post features to other themes. Those might be worth looking at. For example [[LINK href="http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-video-posts/"]]WP Video Posts Plugin[[/LINK]] adds video post types to your site.
One thing, most of these video related themes and plugins either require FFMPEG to be availabe on your hosting server, or they work much better, offering full features when FFMPEG is available.
Without FFMPEG on your hosting server, you generally have to convert your video to FLV or MP4 format yourself, and the "thumbnail generator" features don't work automatically.
