I'm looking for 2 things...
1. update the plugin to WP 4.1 standards
2. Add an export/import feature in xml or csv format

Ian Lincicome answers:

If I read you correctly, you want done what I have done in the attached image. See where I added two buttons below the textarea in the screenshot? They would allow you to import PHP code snippets and/or export PHP code snippets so that if you had the plugin installed on another blog(or the same one at a later time), you could import those exported with this method. Is this what you want?

Sorry, I forgot to change permissions for the export and import folder. Is fixed now.

I've uploaded the final Modded plugin. Please see the modified readme file for troubleshooting installation and/or import/export issues of the modified plugin.

NOTE: I notice this site renames uploaded .zip files, so you'll need to rename the file to "php-code-for-posts" before using/uploading it.

Yes, and in a standardised format like xml or csv. As well as bringing the original code up to the 4.1 standards.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Okay, well for $30 I could add the code to make it work, but to be honest, I wouldn't know what to do in order to bring it up to 4.1 standards. Plus, in my opinion, $30 is hardly enough to add the import/export feature alone. I will be sure to make it work in version 4.1, but don't know about standards.

pjeaje comments:

Okay, as long as it works with 4.1 I'm happy with that. Thanks.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Okay, working on it then. Thanks.

UPDATE:
I just finished the proof of concept for the Export function, so I have half of it figured out. I've already been working on this for twelve hours and am only almost half done. It's going on 3am here so calling it a night. I will update you more tomorrow on progress. I just have a couple questions before I continue:
1) Do you have a specific deadline?
2) Is this for personal use or public?(do you own this plugin?) Just curious to know if I should tailor it more to your needs or more to the general public.
Talk soon,
Ian

3am...go to bed!
No deadline
I'd like to think everyone can benefit from this.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Okay, almost done with export part. Can we talk? Not sure how...my skype is ianlin11 try to catch me there or let me know how to contact you. I want to do a screenshare and walk you though what I've done so far. I added a couple extra small features...Talk soon. -Ian

I'd rather see a working demo thanks.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Okay I'll put it together asap.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Okay, I am finished and have a working demo. Is there a way to PM you details on this site? I will try and if not, let me know how to get you the WP login details to the test site.

Ian Lincicome comments:

Ok, sent you a PM with URL and login info. Let me know what you think.
Ian

It throws the error below when i try to export all the codes...
1) display all cats - ERROR! can't write ../wp-content/plugins/php-code-for-posts/exported_php_files/display_all_cats-28-12-2014_11-51-38.txt

pjeaje comments:

It throws an error no matter how many code snippets are checked

pjeaje comments:

When I try to import 3 codes in the csv file it says 6 codes have been imported, however there are none visible.

pjeaje comments:

Thanks Ian, works well. Money awarded.

pjeaje comments:

I've voted you the $30. Can you send me the updated plugin please.

pjeaje comments:

Thanks for you help. As fate would have it [[LINK href="https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortcode-exec-php/"]]I just found a plugin[[/LINK]] that does the same AND backs up the snippets in XML format :) Oh well...
