  • SOLVED

Hi Guys

What's the "latest" / "best" way of getting your latest tweets fed through to your sidebar?

Many thanks

Giri answers:

Just create a twitter widget here

https://twitter.com/settings/widgets/new/

Copy the code.

Drag the text widget and paste the code there

Hello,

You can use Wordpress Plugin Latest Tweets (http://wordpress.org/plugins/latest-tweets/)

I always do what Giri suggested.

None of the "plugins" for twitter seem to give as good a look and functionality as the code you get from Twitter.

Twitter's code rarely passes validation, so I generally need to clean it up a bit. Mostly it's unencoded ampersands in the URL's. Just change them from "&" to "&" and it fixes the error.

Steve,

Since last changes in Twitter API, now most of plugins are not working correctly.

What can we do? Use a plugin that allows you to do this and also a plugin which is updated and adapted to new API Twitter v1.1 with authentication.

I recommend you: Twitter Tracker http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/twitter-tracker/

If you can setup a text widget (you know how to use WP widgets, your theme allows it) I would go with that.
As suggested by Giri, get the widget at:
https://twitter.com/settings/widgets/new/ and add it to your sidebar.
There is such a thing as "too many plugins".
