A few items to fix on my site... WordPress

  • SOLVED

Hi, I have a a couple of little fixes on my theme that I would like to do.

Please see attached image for the changes, as I have made a screenshot.

For the last question this is the code that I am using so far, might need to be edited slightly.

I will supply FTP and Login details to the user that I choose to do this, I am looking for someone to do the edits upon the site straight as soon as possible.

Thank You

<div class="welcomeback">
Welcome back<span style="color: #bc0624;">
<?php global $current_user;
get_currentuserinfo();
echo '' . $current_user->user_firstname . "\n";
?></span> there are <span style="color: #bc0624;">12</span> new articles since your last visit.</div>

Thank you I can see you have worked on the site, however the task where it shows the number of new articles since your last visit is not working.

I logged in as 1 user and created 3 posts. I then logged out an logged in with another user and it said 'Welcome back there are 0 new articles since your last visit.'

This should show 'Welcome back there are 3 new articles since your last visit.'

Can this be fixed?

Thanks

1- When you're logged into your site with a user then it's saving login time to your users area. (Look at this. Users - All user) yoursite.com/wp-admin/users.php

2- For example after 1 minute logged out for your site from 1st user name. Then logged in with other user name and post an article.

3- After 1 minute later then logged in with 1st user name.

Then you'll see it's show 1 article.

P.S: you can also change your article date and show this effect.

Hovewer please contact with me skype or via gtalk. I can explain it to you. Or you should test it like this for understanding very well.

Thanks for the quick reply, I have followed your instructions, unfortunately it doesn't work as I would like.

1. "USER-A" creates 3 posts. > Log out

2. Wait 5 minutes

3. "USER-B" > Logs in. It should show to "USER-B" that there are 3 new posts since your last visit. Currently it shows that there are 0 new posts since last visit.

I would like to show how many new posts have been created by ANY user, not just the logged in user. (They already know how many posts they have created)

Thanks
