Add Role Specification to Register-Plus-Redux-AutoLogin WordPress

  • SOLVED

A few months ago [[LINK href="http://wpquestions.com/question/show/id/2861"]]Gabriel added auto log-in to Register Plus Redux [[/LINK]]for me. I now need the ability to specify the role I would like the user to have when the register.

I understand the security risks involved and if it's possible to require a specific combination on the invite code that would be fine. So if invite code is 4351 role allowed is such.

The link would look something like this.

http://www.moonraker.net/wp-login.php?action=register&[email protected]&company=test_company&first_name=test&last_name=test&invitation_code=P51SPF65631SG874&role=distributor

Also, the plugin has a Jquery UI tab conflict with gravity forms that I hadn't worried about. Not a huge issue but would be cool if it didn't break GF.

Thanks in advance

Gabriel Reguly answers:

Hi Zack,

I think I can code a solution for you.

Please bear with me.

Regards,
Gabriel

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Hi Zack,

If we require the invite code to be tied to a specific role, then the role would not be needed for the URL.

Unfortunately it would add more work, would you mind rising the prize to 45?

Regards,
Gabriel

P.S. Regarding the jQuery UI conflict, would you mind giving me access to the site to check it?
Please send me a PM.

Zach Shallbetter comments:

That sounds great. I went ahead and raised the amount to 45.00. I'll go ahead and send you login information for the site.

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Hi Zack,

Thanks for rising the prize.

Please [[LINK href="gabriel.ppgr.com.br/wp-content/plugins/register-plus-redux-auto-login-3.8.zip"]]find the new version here[[/LINK]].

Hopefully next week I will have some time to have a look at the jQuery UI conflict.

Regards,
Gabriel

Zach Shallbetter comments:

Thanks! However, there's a 404 on that link.

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Oh dear, again a bad link :-(

Apologies,

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Zach Shallbetter comments:

Works excellent! You think next week is when you'll have the Jquery UI thing resolved?

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Hi Zack,

I have no idea about what is causing the jQuery UI conflict, so I will have to take a look and maybe do some research.

Unfortunately this week is practically gone and next week will be a busy one for me.

If you don't mind voting for the prize before the question expires, I promise I will look for a solution and release a new version then.

Regards,
Gabriel

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Hi Zach,

Just took a look at the site but could not find any jQuery UI issues.

Would you kindly describe me how to see/reproduce it?

Regards,
Gabriel

P.S. I am going offline for today.

Zach Shallbetter comments:

This is what it looks like

Click Forms > Edit Forms > and then click "edit" on a form element. You'll see that it's not displaying the tabs. If you disable simple modal or remove the simple modal enqueue it resolves the issue.

Gabriel Reguly comments:

Hi Zach,

I have got some free time to work on the jQuery UI issue and now it is fixed.

Regards,
Gabriel

P.S. Hopefully you won't mind, but I have already fixed it in your site ;-)

Zach Shallbetter comments:

Great work, thanks!

Zach Shallbetter comments:

You only had to modify the plugin, right?

Zach Shallbetter comments:

And it's throwing this error on another install. <blockquote>Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/neighb6/public_html/neighborhoodnotices.info/wp-includes/user.php on line 227</blockquote>
